British actor and all-around tough guy Tom Hardy takes on a surprising new role this time. While he's still saving people and taking down the bad guys, he does so as a detective. This is Hardy's first collaboration with the director Gareth Evans, who has not directed anything since 2017.
Hence, Evans's highly anticipated film Havoc follows a detective who, after a drug deal goes awry, must navigate the criminal underworld to rescue a politician's estranged son, all while uncovering a complex web of corruption and conspiracy within his city.
In the trailer, we’re treated to glimpses of poolside rides, haunting scenes of lifeless bodies, and, of course, Hardy once again pummelling the bad guys into submission.
Although the film was announced back in 2021, its release has taken far longer than expected, with the long-awaited date now set for 25th April.
David Evans is the director behind The Raid and The Raid 2, a dynamic duology that redefined the action genre with its relentless intensity and groundbreaking choreography. However, since 2017, he hasn't directed anything, making Havoc all the more incredibly anticipated.
