Filming action-packed sequences for The Old Guard 2 is no walk in the park — just ask Henry Golding. Variety reveals, that at the recent Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 celebration in Beverly Hills, the star revealed a familiar setback: "I throw my back out. It always happens" he laughed. But don’t imagine it happened mid-shoot — no, it’s the day before filming, during rehearsals, when Golding’s body decides to rebel.
"I’m like, [makes squealing sound], then I’m blown out for the rest of the week," he admitted with a grin.
The stakes are high in this Netflix sequel, with Charlize Theron returning as Andy, the immortal warrior leading her team against a formidable new enemy. The plot thickens as a long-lost immortal resurfaces, complicating their mission to protect humanity. The official trailer, released recently, teases breathtaking stunts and nail-biting action, landing on Netflix July 2.

Golding praised the on-set atmosphere, highlighting the demanding nature of their fight scenes: We’re doing it all on the fly sometimes. You practice as much as possible, but on location things change and you have to adapt.
He also showered praise on Theron’s leadership and dedication. "She’s the best. She leads from the front," he said. "She was on set every time as a producer and does all her own stunts. She’s amazing."

Back injuries or not, the cast’s commitment is clear: the adrenaline-fueled saga of The Old Guard 2 is gearing up to be one hell of a ride.
