Guy Ritchie is back in familiar territory with his latest project, Wife & Dog, a crime drama set in the world of British aristocracy. The film, currently in production under Black Bear, has added James Norton, Paddy Considine, and Pip Torrens to its already stellar ensemble cast. They join previously announced Cosmo Jarvis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Anthony Hopkins in what promises to be another sharp, fast-paced thriller from the director of Snatch and The Gentlemen.
A Return to Crime and Intrigue
While plot details remain tightly under wraps, Wife & Dog is expected to showcase Ritchie’s signature blend of wit, crime, and action, this time within the elite circles of British high society. The film is written and directed by Ritchie, with long-time collaborator Ivan Atkinson (The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man) producing alongside John Friedberg of Black Bear.

A Cast of Powerhouse Performers
The newly announced additions bring even more depth to the already impressive lineup:
-
James Norton is widely recognized for his gripping performance as Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley, earning him a BAFTA nomination.
-
Paddy Considine, known for The Bourne Ultimatum and House of the Dragon, is celebrated for his intense, dynamic roles.
-
Pip Torrens, who portrayed the stern Tommy Lascelles in The Crown, adds a commanding presence to the cast.
Production and Global Sales

Filming is currently underway in the United Kingdom, and Wife & Dog is expected to attract major international buyers. Black Bear, Ritchie, and Atkinson previously collaborated on The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and In the Grey. After being introduced at Cannes, the film will continue seeking distribution deals at the Berlin Film Market.
With its mix of elite crime, sharp dialogue, and high-stakes intrigue, Wife & Dog is shaping up to be another classic Ritchie thriller — and with this cast, expectations couldn’t be higher.
