Even More Action: 5 Films to Watch After 'A Working Man' with Jason Statham

Stills from the movies 'A Working Man' (2025), 'The Equalizer' (2014), 'Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre' (2023), 'John Wick' (2014)

While the thriller continues to earn at the box office, those who have already seen the new release can pass the time with other titles in the genre.

Although A Working Man with Jason Statham wasn’t expected to be a major hit, the film managed to climb to the top of the box office, even outperforming Disney’s Snow White on its opening weekend. It’s now officially available on streaming, which means it has every chance to attract an even wider audience — including both fans of the actor and action lovers in general.

And for those who have already seen A Working Man and aren’t sure what to watch next, the internet is full of excellent options — here are a few worth checking out.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023)

Another action-packed film with Jason Statham, this time directed by Guy Ritchie, Operation Fortune follows British intelligence super-agent Orson Fortune, whose well-earned vacation is interrupted by an urgent assignment. He is tasked with finding out who stole a deadly weapon from a secret lab. To do so, he assembles a team of specialists and sets out to track down a potential intermediary — though getting close to him proves more complicated than expected.

The Equalizer (2014)

This action thriller starring Denzel Washington has much in common with A Working Man, particularly its focus on a ruthless former intelligence operative forced to return to dangerous missions after a loved one is harmed. In The Equalizer, ex-CIA agent Robert McCall decides to take down the men who brutalized Teri, a young prostitute he befriends while working at a local diner.

The Mechanic (2011)

In yet another high-octane role, Statham plays a different kind of professional in The Mechanic. Here, he stars as Arthur Bishop, an elite hitman trained to carry out clean, untraceable kills. A longtime lone wolf, Bishop suddenly finds himself mentoring a young and impulsive apprentice named Steve. Together, the unlikely duo must take on one of their most dangerous assignments yet.

John Wick (2014)

Modern cinema would be incomplete without the epic John Wick franchise, with Keanu Reeves in the iconic role. In true genre tradition, the protagonist is living a quiet life after years as a contract killer — until the son of a crime boss steals his car and kills his beloved dog, a gift from his recently deceased wife. With nothing left to lose, Wick sets out on a path of vengeance.

Nobody (2021)

Another hit action film featuring a seemingly ordinary man with a hidden past, Nobody tells the story of Hutch, a quiet family man with a dull office job — until his home is invaded by burglars. But the real turning point? They take his daughter’s charm bracelet. Now, Hutch is ready to burn everything down to get it back — even if it means going to war with the Russian mafia.
