Hacks is officially returning for a fifth season. Max renewed the acclaimed comedy series ahead of its season four finale, which airs this Thursday. Since debuting in the U.S., the show has been a top five series on Max and ranks among the top 10 globally. Season four is currently pacing as the series’ best yet, according to Max.
Starring Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder, Hacks was created and is run by Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky. The show is executive produced by Downs and Aniello through their Paulilu banner, Statsky via First Thought Productions, along with Michael Schur, David Miner (3 Arts Entertainment), Morgan Sackett, and Joe Mande. The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Season four featured an expanded cast including Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, Dan Bucatinsky, Helen Hunt. New cast members included Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, Bresha Webb and many more.
