The sports biopic follows the career ups and downs, as well as the struggle with personal demons, of UFC fighter Mark Kerr, played by Dwayne Johnson (Red One), who is supported by his girlfriend, played by Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow). The actors were previously seen together on screen in Jungle Cruise.
Oscar-winning makeup artist Kazu Hiro, who transformed Gary Oldman in Darkest Hour and Bradley Cooper in Maestro, took part in the work on Dwayne Johnson's image.
The Smashing Machine will be released in theaters on October 3, 2025.
