Billy Eichner has joined the cast of an untitled comedy from writer and director Nicholas Stoller for Amazon MGM Studios, alongside previously announced stars Will Ferrell, Zac Efron, Regina Hall, and Jimmy Tatro. Stoller will direct the film.
The comedy centres on a young convict fresh out of prison (Efron) who takes a reality TV courtroom hostage, blaming the egotistical TV judge (Ferrell) for a past ruling that he believes ruined his life. Eichner will portray the Bailiff to Ferrell’s judge.
Eichner recently completed a two-episode arc on Ryan Murphy's show The Beauty, starring Evan Peters. He will also appear in Ethan Coen’s upcoming film Honey, Don’t!, and was featured in the recent Coen film Drive Away Dolls. Additionally, he reprised his role as Timon in Mufasa: The Lion King. Eichner is represented by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
