The star of Reacher wants to return for Fast & Furious 11, but there’s one small catch that could stand in the way of the actor’s return — and not just his.
Alan Ritchson, who recently made his debut in Fast X as Aimes, a tough Agency member with changing loyalties, got fans excited about the possibility of him returning for the final chapter of the Dom Toretto story. However, in a recent interview with ScreenRant, he shared that there’s a major issue with the production — and it’s about the stars involved. Specifically, it’s unclear whether Jason Momoa, Dwayne Johnson, and Vin Diesel will return due to their packed schedules.
"We talk about it quite often. That is one of the biggest challenges that franchise faces is that you've got a lot of guys like Dwayne and Vin and Momoa and myself and everybody's super busy. So trying to get the stars to align so we can make that happen is a feat of nature. So we'll see how it goes, but this is a passion project for Universal and it's one that I had a blast doing, so I'd love to get in there, and I'll bring it to life again," Ritchson said.
It’s unclear how many more Fast & Furious movies are in the works. Reports say Fast 11 will lead into Fast 12, with a Hobbs & Reyes spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Momoa, along with other projects. While focusing on one movie at a time might be better, that's not how Hollywood usually works. Despite Fast X underperforming at the box office, there’s still potential for more films.
