In the second season of The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal’s character will have quite a bit of edge. It’s not just about the storyline, but also about his new interactions. The new character will be portrayed by Catherine O'Hara, known for her roles in Home Alone and Beetlejuice. It's rumored that she'll be playing a therapist who helps Joel process the events of Season 1, though official details about her character have yet to be confirmed.
Commenting on her role in an Entertainment Weekly interview, O'Hara hints at the dynamic between her and Pedro's roles, noting that her portrayal's sharpness introduces a touch of dark comedy to their interactions.
“I have an odd relationship with Pedro's character. You don't quite know why she's got... well, she's got this edge to her, but it makes for some weird, good dark comedy, I think. So it's there. I never want to deny the gift of humor”.
