Nonetheless, the actor has not left the movie industry.

Most of young Logan Lerman’s relatives worked in the medical field, while he was drawn to the arts. Despite his family's wishes, the young boy made his screen debut at the age of eight in the drama The Patriot, and at eighteen, he became internationally famous for his role as the son of Poseidon in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

The film adaptation of Rick Riordan's fantasy novel was meant to be part of a major teenage franchise, on par with Harry Potter or The Hunger Games. However, the sequel, Percy Jackson & the Sea of Monsters, underperformed at the box office and received negative reviews, leading the studio to cancel any further sequels.

After the franchise ended, Lerman did not remain without work. The young actor appeared in the melodrama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the epic drama Noah, and the war film Fury. In the late 2010s, the heartthrob of millions began to appear less on the big screen, instead making notable appearances on television in the series Hunters and We Were Lucky.

Lerman's most recent notable acting work was in 2022 in the action film Bullet Train, where the star somewhat faded into the background compared to the bright performances of Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Joey King. However, Lerman is only 33, and it is likely that his most prominent roles are still ahead of him.
