Fans of The Gentlemen have reason to celebrate — Netflix and Guy Ritchie's crime dramedy has officially been renewed for a second season. Production is set to begin in spring 2025, as revealed by lead actor Theo James in an interview with THR. The actor also shared the first details about the upcoming episodes.
According to him, the new season will be bigger and darker than the first:
"Guy Ritchie and I wanted the series to keep evolving. The first season was a lot of fun, but simply repeating the same formula might not work. It's important to delve deeper into the characters," James noted.
The Gentlemen premiered on Netflix in March 2024 and quickly won over critics and audiences alike. The story follows aristocrat Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly discovers that his family estate is secretly being used to grow illegal substances under the leadership of the resourceful Susie Glass.

Despite the promised darker tone, the series will not lose its signature humor:
"It's still a comedy, there's still a lot of fun, but now there will be more depth," James emphasized.
For now, fans will have to be patient and wait for the premiere.
