'Jenny’s All Booked Out': Barry Keoghan on His Super Bowl Debut and 'Hurry Up Tomorrow'

A Super Bowl ad, a new donkey co-star, and an exciting film with The Weeknd.

Barry Keoghan is back with another four-legged scene-stealer. The Saltburn and Banshees of Inisherin star has made his Super Bowl commercial debut in a new ad for Squarespace, bringing a touch of Irish charm and humor to one of the biggest advertising events of the year. And while fans may recall his previous on-screen companion, Jenny the Donkey, Keoghan’s new equine partner, Don Mosley, takes center stage this time.

Bringing Irish Charm to the Super Bowl

The Squarespace ad, which aired during the first quarter of the Super Bowl, features Keoghan in a picturesque Irish village, flinging laptops like newspapers to locals as they embrace the possibilities of building an online presence. The campaign humorously nods to Keoghan’s past work in The Banshees of Inisherin, though he clarifies that Don Mosley is not a stand-in for Jenny. "Jenny’s all booked out," he jokes. The ad was directed by Steve Rogers and produced by Lee Groombridge, both of whom Keoghan praised for their vision and execution.

An Exciting New Film with The Weeknd and Jenna Ortega

While his Super Bowl ad is grabbing attention, Keoghan is also generating buzz for his upcoming film, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the psychological thriller stars Keoghan alongside The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) and Jenna Ortega. While the actor remained tight-lipped about specific plot details, he teased that the film explores deep emotional and psychological themes, with striking visuals to match. "The images released today are just a taste of what’s to come," Keoghan shared.

Keoghan also revealed that the film was shot two years ago, adding to the anticipation surrounding its upcoming release. "I was just chatting with Abel before you called," he mentioned, hinting at his continued excitement for the project.

Staying Grounded Amidst Stardom

Despite his rising star status, Keoghan remains grounded, enjoying time in London with his son and appreciating the respect his fans show him in public. "The English keep it cool," he says, noting that people tend to give him space, especially when he’s with his child.

With a Super Bowl ad now under his belt and Hurry Up Tomorrow on the horizon, Keoghan’s career continues to ascend. Whether it's through humor, gripping storytelling, or his signature Irish charm, one thing is clear — he’s here to stay.
