The Crawleys are back for one last chapter. Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will hit cinemas on September 12, 2025, wrapping up the beloved saga in what promises to be an emotional and elegant farewell.
Set in 1930, the story follows the family and staff as they face a changing world. Fan favourites like Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, and Elizabeth McGovern return, joined by newcomers Paul Giamatti and Dominic West.
The film will also pay tribute to the late Maggie Smith, whose role as Violet Crawley remains iconic.
For now, the movie will be theatrical-only, but it’s expected to stream later on platforms like Peacock or Prime Video.
